Just a quick post to say I’ve arrived in Santiago de Compostela.
I made a strategic decision to go directly to the pilgrim office before the cathedral had even opened. Somehow I’ve already received my Compostela, certifying that I completed the pilgrimage with pious intentions, and my certificate of distance covered, which anyone can purchase for completing the journey, regardless of intentions.
I’ll visit the cathedral later. Right now I’m enjoying a celebratory beer.
