It has come to my attention that some readers have not been receiving e-mail digests recently sent from this blog.
I did some investigating, and it appears to be users of Microsoft e-mail services — Outlook, Hotmail, etc. — that are having the most issues. Microsoft is known to be particularly aggressive about what is blocked by its spam filters, and it looks like the e-mail configuration I had been using exposed just enough idiosyncrasies to trigger false positives.
I have taken some corrective actions already, and I have some others in the pipeline. However, in the real world of e-mail, any given message has a nonzero chance of not reaching its destination, even if everything was configured perfectly. And this blog’s configuration is hardly perfect.
