The best part of today’s walk was enjoying the early morning light as I left León, a city I could see myself visiting again with my wife.

After that, the Camino paralleled a busy national highway for the rest of the day. It wasn’t exactly time for bonding with the environment around me.

I arrived mid-afternoon, showered, handed off a large pile of dirty laundry to the host of the albergue, and tucked into a cold beer. I’m done for the day.
