I haven’t posted anything in a while, so just for fun, here are some food photos from last weekend’s road trip to Las Vegas. Overindulging on food is one of the reasons Kathryn and I enjoy these trips to Las Vegas, so food photos seem appropriate.
Veal parmigiana at Nora’s Cuisine. The restaurant declined to let me pay for this dish. That’s a story for another day. I assure you, dear reader, it wasn’t because this blog is so influential.
Chicken fried chicken and waffles — yes, that’s what it’s called — at Village Pub at Ellis Island. My only complaint was that the waffle was a little colder than the chicken. Otherwise, it was a perfect breakfast for a day when we planned an early dinner.
Beef Wellington at Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill. This was an early dinner before the show with my sister and her husband. Unlike the previous evening’s dinner, this restaurant had no trouble presenting a bill.
Sticky toffee pudding at Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill. Delightful. However, the espresso that punctuated the evening was downright awful, and I’m not really a coffee snob. I amuse myself thinking of the expletive-filled rant that would spew from Gordon Ramsay if he tasted his restaurant’s coffee.
Corned beef hash and eggs at Village Pub at Ellis Island. We spent both nights at the adjacent hotel, which is why we ended up eating breakfast there twice. The house potatoes were a nice touch.
