It’s been over four months since I last posted anything on this blog, but it is far from abandoned. In fact, I’ve spent a lot of that time rewriting the blog software, becoming unhappy with the direction of the rewrite, and ultimately deciding to step back and extend the existing software, which I’m continuing to do.

Today, though, it’s time for another trip to our place in Montpellier. Earlier this year, Air France started nonstop service between Phoenix and Paris, so what used to be a two-stop journey is now a one-stop journey. It shortens the total travel time by several hours, meaning I won’t even have to leave the house in Phoenix until close to 1 pm local time.

I’ll be traveling solo again this time. For her part, Kathryn spent a few weeks there recently, so I don’t expect any unpleasant surprises when I arrive. I’ll post updates from along the way.
